So… Is Your Higher Self the Same as Source?

Not exactly. Think of it like this: Source is the origin —pure consciousness, God/Goddess/Divine Light, whatever you want to call it. It’s the everything-and-nothing energy from which all things come. Your Higher Self is your personal bridge to Source. It’s your soul in its purest form , untainted by fear, ego, or human distortion. Your Higher Self is you , just on the zoomed-out level —the version of you that remembers the full story, all lifetimes, all lessons, all missions. So: Source is the sun. Your Higher Self is the sunbeam that still holds its essence but is uniquely you . Is Your Higher Self Your Soul? Pretty much— but here's the nuance: Your soul is eternal. It’s the part of you that has lived countless lives. Your Higher Self is like the fully awakened version of your soul —the one not currently squeezed into a human body trying to pay bills and avoid family drama. When you're in human form, you're kind of like the tip of the i...

Navigating the Language of Spirit: Understanding Spiritual Terminology

When I embarked on my spiritual journey, I found myself overwhelmed by a multitude of terms—Source, Higher Self, Divine Consciousness, Universal Mind, and more. Having grown up with the concept of "God" or a "Higher Power," this new lexicon felt both intriguing and confusing. I realized that to deepen my understanding, I needed to explore what these terms truly meant and how they interconnected.

Decoding Spiritual Terminology

Spirituality is rich with diverse terminologies, each offering a unique perspective on the divine and our connection to it. Here's a breakdown to help demystify some of these concepts:

1. The Divine and Ultimate Reality

  • The Absolute / The One: Refers to the ultimate, unconditioned reality that underlies all existence.

  • Source Energy / Infinite Source: Highlights the fundamental energy from which all things emanate.

  • Divine Consciousness: The all-encompassing awareness of the divine, present in all aspects of the universe.

  • Universal Mind: The cosmic intelligence that permeates everything, suggesting a shared consciousness.

  • Brahman (Hinduism): The ultimate reality, the source of all being and existence.

  • Tao (Taoism): The fundamental principle of the universe, representing the natural order and flow of life.

2. Inner Wisdom and Higher Self

  • Inner Voice / Inner Knowing: The intuitive guidance that arises from within, beyond logical reasoning.

  • Soul's Purpose: The inherent direction or mission of one's being, aligning with one's true self.

  • Authentic Self: The true self, stripped of ego and societal conditioning, representing one's genuine essence.

  • Observer Self: The aspect of consciousness that can witness thoughts and feelings without judgment.

  • Christ Consciousness / Buddha Nature: States of universal love, compassion, and unity, reflecting the potential for enlightenment within all beings.

3. Guidance and Connection

  • Angelic Realm / Ascended Masters: Beings of light and guidance who offer support and wisdom from higher planes of existence.

  • Akashic Records: A cosmic record of all events, thoughts, and feelings, accessible through spiritual practices.

  • The Field (Quantum Field): An interconnected web of energy and potential, often used metaphorically in spirituality to describe the unity of all things.

Embracing the Journey

Understanding these terms is not about memorizing definitions but about exploring what resonates with you. Spirituality is a personal journey, and these concepts serve as tools to deepen your connection with the divine and your inner self.

Mesmerism vs. The Emotion Code: A Look at the Use of Magnets in Energy Healing

During my training to become a hypnotherapist, I learned about Franz Anton Mesmer and his intriguing use of magnets in healing. Mesmer believed in a concept called "animal magnetism," a vital energy force he thought could be manipulated to restore balance in the body. His methods, though controversial, were an early exploration of the mind-body connection and the power of suggestion. Fast forward to today, and magnets are still being used in energy healing practices—most notably in The Emotion Code, a modern modality that claims to identify and release trapped emotions through muscle testing and magnetic energy. But how do these two approaches compare? While they both involve magnets, the philosophies behind them and their applications are vastly different. In this blog, I’ll explore the historical use of magnets in Mesmerism and contrast it with how magnets are used in The Emotion Code, shedding light on their similarities, differences, and what we can learn from both. The Power of the Vagus Nerve: Unlocking Your Body’s Natural Healing Potential

The vagus nerve is one of the most remarkable and powerful parts of our nervous system, but it's often overlooked. As the primary player in the parasympathetic nervous system, it helps regulate key bodily functions such as digestion, heart rate, and mood.
