A fellow coach and friend of mine in Italy recently asked me to share my thoughts on resilience. To me, resilience is the unwavering ability to rise above challenges and setbacks—a deep inner strength that refuses to quit.
I believe my resilience comes from being a natural-born fighter. Life hasn’t been easy, but much of my strength is rooted in defiance—a refusal to accept the negative things others say about me as truth. From a young age, I’ve chosen to rise above the curveballs life has thrown my way, no matter how tough they’ve been.
You can knock me down, but I’ll always get back up—stronger and more determined. Resilience is a mindset, a grit deeply embedded in my soul. If someone tells me I can’t do something, I’ll do everything in my power to prove them wrong because “can’t” simply isn’t in my vocabulary.
