10 Months Later. Here's Where I Am

It's hard to believe it's been 10 months since my accident. It's been quite a journey. I went from the trauma unit to an acute care hospital, connected to more life support machines than I could count. One by one, I was able to come off each machine until I was finally discharged at the end of December. When I got home, I spent about a month in bed. I couldn't do much for myself and had to slowly rebuild my strength. I started going to the gym once a week, and after a couple of months I was finally able to get a caretaker who could take me two or three times a week. That's when I really started making progress. But recovery hasn't been a straight line. My amputated leg had complication after complication, and the wounds wouldn't heal for months. Even though I received my prosthetic leg on February 10, I couldn't safely wear it until the very end of April because the wounds wouldn't close. Just when I started walking with my prosthetic at the gym, I ...

Clearing Emotional Blocks: Reclaim Your Health & Happiness

I was watching a documentary called Emotions 2.0, and they were talking about emotions being trapped in the body. That made sense to me because I had heard about some testing done on rats, where scientists conditioned them to fear cherry blossoms. The fear became so deeply embedded that it was coded into their genes—so much so that even their offspring were afraid of cherry blossoms, despite never having encountered them before.

This idea resonated with me. If fear and trauma can be passed down genetically, it makes sense that our own unresolved emotions could stay trapped in our bodies, affecting us in ways we may not even realize. Naturally, my curiosity kicked in, and I started diving deeper to find a solution. That’s when I came across The Emotion Code—a fascinating method for identifying and releasing trapped emotions to promote healing and well-being.

In this blog, I’ll explore what The Emotion Code is, how it works, and why so many people swear by its ability to help clear emotional baggage and improve overall health.

Key Concepts of The Emotion Code

1. Trapped Emotions

Trapped emotions are negative emotional energies that, instead of being processed and released, remain stored within the body’s energy field. These unresolved emotions may stem from past trauma, stressful experiences, or inherited emotional patterns. Over time, they can create imbalances that manifest as physical discomfort or emotional struggles.

2. Muscle Testing (Kinesiology)

Muscle testing is a technique used in The Emotion Code to communicate with the subconscious mind. The body responds to yes/no questions through changes in muscle strength—strong responses indicate a "yes," while weak responses indicate a "no." This method helps practitioners pinpoint specific trapped emotions.

3. The Emotion Code Chart

Dr. Nelson developed a chart containing 60 common emotions, divided into two columns. Practitioners use muscle testing to determine which specific emotion is trapped and where it is located in the body.

4. Releasing Trapped Emotions

Once a trapped emotion is identified, the next step is to release it. This is often done using magnet therapy, where a magnet is swiped along the Governing Meridian (an energy pathway used in traditional Chinese medicine). The practitioner also holds an intentional focus on releasing the trapped energy.

How Does The Emotion Code Work?

The Emotion Code follows a four-step process:

  1. Identify the Trapped Emotion – Using muscle testing, the practitioner determines whether a trapped emotion is present and which one it is.

  2. Locate the Trapped Emotion – The practitioner may also use muscle testing to identify where in the body the trapped emotion is lodged.

  3. Release the Trapped Emotion – A magnet is run along the Governing Meridian while setting the intention to clear the emotional energy.

  4. Verify the Release – Muscle testing is used again to confirm that the emotion has been successfully cleared.

Scientific Perspective on The Emotion Code

While many people report positive experiences with The Emotion Code, it is important to recognize that this method is not scientifically validated. Here are some key points to consider:

  • Lack of Empirical Evidence – The concept of trapped emotions and their impact on health is not widely accepted within mainstream medicine.

  • Muscle Testing Controversy – Muscle testing relies on subjective responses and has not been consistently proven reliable in controlled studies.

  • Placebo Effect – Some individuals may experience benefits due to the placebo effect, meaning their belief in the technique leads to perceived improvements.

Despite these considerations, many individuals who practice The Emotion Code believe in its effectiveness based on personal experience.

Practical Applications of The Emotion Code

If you are interested in trying The Emotion Code, here are some potential areas where people have reported benefits:

  • Physical Healing – Relief from chronic pain, headaches, digestive issues, and other ailments.

  • Emotional Wellness – Reduction in anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm.

  • Improved Relationships – Letting go of emotional baggage that affects personal and professional relationships.

  • Self-Growth and Empowerment – Increased clarity, confidence, and alignment with one’s true self.

Final Thoughts: Is The Emotion Code Right for You?

The Emotion Code offers an intriguing approach to healing by addressing unresolved emotions and energy imbalances. While it may not be a substitute for medical or psychological treatment, many people have found it to be a valuable tool for personal transformation.

If you are curious about The Emotion Code, consider trying it with an open mind. Whether you experience profound healing or simply gain deeper self-awareness, exploring new ways to support emotional wellness can be a rewarding journey.

Walking Through Fear While My Life Is Still Unstable

Walking Through Fear Anyway: When Survival Becomes a Daily Choice I’m at risk of losing my housing right now. That sentence alone feels surreal to write, but it’s my reality. I’ve already survived things most people only ever read about. A catastrophic accident. A medically induced coma. An amputation. Metal now holding parts of my body together—including my vertebrae, and my left leg from my knee to my ankle. I’m still learning what all of this means in real time, because even now, no one has fully explained every part of what happened to me. I also don’t remember the accident itself. Not because I’m avoiding it—but because my mind shut it out. The trauma was so severe, and my body was so critically compromised, that everything went into survival shutdown. I had kidney failure and heart failure. My body was shutting down, and my brain shut down with it. What I do remember is the day. I remember my thought process clearly in the beginning. I remember thinking I wasn’t in a...

The crash left her with life-threatening injuries, including the loss of her right leg, multiple fractures throughout her body, broken ribs, spinal injuries, a shattered left leg, and internal injuries that resulted in heart and kidney failure. She spent four months in the hospital undergoing multiple surgeries before beginning the long process of rehabilit...

I Didn’t Ask for This: My Journey After a Life-Changing Accident

I recently shared a post asking for support during a very difficult time in my life, and I received some comments calling me a "beggar" or accusing me of "money begging." I want to clarify something: I am not begging. I am asking for help while I try to survive an unexpected and life-altering situation. There is no obligation for anyone to donate. People are free to scroll past, say no, or simply wish me well. But it's incredibly hurtful when people judge a situation they haven't lived. I was in a catastrophic accident that was not my fault, and it permanently changed my life. I didn't ask to lose my leg. I didn't ask to spend four months in the hospital. I didn't ask for my body to be permanently altered, my car to be totaled, or my ability to work and support myself to be taken away. This didn't happen gradually or by choice. It happened in an instant, and it has taken away my health, my independence, and my ability to support myself in the...
